Strategy
Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.1
Iron Tide Command asks you to think, and I respect it for that. It's a naval strategy game where you juggle fleets, supply routes, and territory, and rushing forward gets you punished fast. The map is readable even on a phone, which is no small feat for the genre.
Battles resolve based on positioning and preparation more than reflexes, so it plays well in pauses. I found myself opening it during coffee breaks to make one careful move. The AI plays defensively enough to feel like an actual opponent rather than a punching bag.
The tutorial could explain its economy better, and the first hour is a bit of a wall. Push through it, though, and there's a genuinely clever game here.
